Division President, North America Property and Specialty Lines
Derek Talbott is Senior Vice President, Chubb Group and Division President, North America Property and Specialty Lines. He is responsible for the company’s dedicated retail and wholesale property and specialty operations. He has oversight of Chubb’s property- and specialty-related products and services across the company’s North American retail and wholesale franchises, including Chubb Canada, Chubb Bermuda, Commercial Insurance, Major Accounts and Westchester. He has shared responsibilities for strategy and product development, as well as profit and loss performance in conjunction with business unit leaders.
Mr. Talbott has more than 30 years of experience in property portfolio management and global property insurance. Prior to ACE’s acquisition of Chubb in 2016, he served as Executive Vice President, International Property for Chubb Overseas General, a position he held since joining the company in 2009. He was appointed to his current role in 2013.
Mr. Talbott earned a bachelor’s degree in History from Middlebury College in Middlebury, Vermont.
