Chubb is once again a Global Festival Partner for Dive In, the insurance industry's renowned annual festival for diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I). Taking place September 26-28, 2023, this ninth consecutive global event will focus on a theme of "Unlocking Innovation: The Power of Inclusion."
"We are proud to be a Global Festival Partner for the 2023 Dive In and show our support in calling for our industry to create inclusive cultures that value diverse perspectives," said Darryl Page, Chief Culture Officer at Chubb. "At Chubb, building and advancing a fair, equitable and inclusive workplace where people feel a sense of belonging is an enterprise-wide effort, and we're excited to see our employees be part of Dive In's inspiring events."
The three-day festival combines virtual and in-person events around the world, facilitating conversation around diversity, equity, inclusion and innovation. In addition to providing the insurance industry with the opportunity to take decisive DE&I actions, the festival also covers topics including non-visible disabilities, mental health, religious equality, LGBTQ+ inclusivity, ageism and social mobility within the workplace. This year's festival prioritizes the necessity of creating inclusive cultures in propelling corporate progress and innovative solutions for global challenges.
As in past years, Chubb employees are encouraged to participate in the 2023 events. When asked how inclusion has led to progress for themselves and their teams, here is how a few Chubb team members responded:
“Working with diverse agency partners has helped our team find unique opportunities and creative solutions to meet goals and solve problems!”
Mei Shi "CC" Chan Alwan, United States
"Providing for an open and inclusive environment for my team specifically as well as my colleagues, in general, has helped bring us closer together. It allows individuals who identify as LGBTQ+ to be comfortable and confident. It allows allies to speak up and show their support. Creating an environment that breaks down barriers and allows for dialogue helps us to connect, learn and relate to each other."
Eric Dean, United States
"Inclusion has made my team multifunctional, empathetic and strategic. Together we complement each other, we learn from each other, and we support each other. Being of different ages keeps us both fresh and mature. Inclusion goes beyond the obvious and each person in the team has strived to do their best for others - that shared value also unites us.”
Rosa Goyburo, Ecuador
"I have found when teams are inclusive and respectful of diverse backgrounds and perspectives, they work together, have more positive dynamics and communicate better. A collaborative, respectful and inclusive work environment is key to building a supportive workplace culture with engaged employees."
Stefania Sampugnaro, Italy
