John Lupica
Vice Chairman, Chubb Group
Executive Chairman, North America Insurance
John Lupica is Vice Chairman, Chubb Group and Executive Chairman, North America Insurance. He has executive oversight, including strategy, governance and attention to major issues, of Chubb's general insurance business in North America.
Chubb’s general insurance business in the United States, Canada and Bermuda includes commercial P&C, personal lines, agriculture, and accident and health insurance.
Mr. Lupica has more than 35 years of property and casualty insurance experience. Prior to his current role, he served as President, North America Insurance. He joined the company, then named ACE, in 2000. He has served as President, North America Major Accounts & Specialty Insurance; Vice Chairman of ACE Limited and ACE Group; and Chairman of Insurance – North America. He was appointed Vice Chairman of ACE Limited in November 2013 and Vice Chairman, ACE Group, in March 2014.
Additionally, Mr. Lupica has served as Executive Vice President of the U.S. Professional Risk business and Division President of the unit; Division President of U.S. Regional Operations; President of ACE USA; and Chief Operating Officer, Insurance – North America. Prior to ACE, Mr. Lupica served as Senior Vice President for Munich-American Risk Partners, Inc., and held various management positions at American International Group.
Mr. Lupica received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hobart and William Smith Colleges and holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation.
