Co-Head, Global Government Affairs
Karen Valanzano serves as a corporate officer of Chubb Group and the Co-Head of Global Government Affairs.
Ms. Valanzano is based in Washington DC and has more than 20 years of experience working on strategy and advocacy to promote Chubb’s interests before the United States Congress and the Administration. She currently acts as Chubb’s lead advocate on federal legislative priorities and is also responsible for Chubb’s regional government affairs team engaging on priority public policy issues in all 50 states. Ms. Valanzano also serves as the executive director of Chubb’s political action committee (Chubb PAC).
Prior to joining Chubb (formerly ACE Group) in 2002, Ms. Valanzano worked for the American Resort Development Association (ARDA) where she managed political activities, federal advocacy, communications, and the international research foundation. She also spent time in college and her early career in various political fundraising and public policy roles.
Ms. Valanzano received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Economics from Sweet Briar College in Virginia, and she currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Maguire Academy of Risk Management & Insurance at Gallaudet University in Washington DC.
